Well Permitting


Please print legibly and answer all questions. If you do not know an answer, consult with your driller. Your driller should be able to provide coordinates and well information.

You must include a map that clearly indicates the area you plan to irrigate. Label what you plan to water (e.g., rice, hay, trees, waterfowl, pond). Use a highlighter and/or pen to label these ares. Google Earth provides a free program that can help with coordintes and maps. Applications must be notarized. 

 

NOTE: incomplete forms are considered administratively incomplete and will be returned for completion. 

 

Operating Class A Permit Application

Class A wells are capable of pumping 200 gpm or less. The application fee is $25. Be sure to also complete a Well Registration form along with your permit application. 


Operating Class B Permit Application

Class B wells are capable of pumping between 200 and 600 gpm. The permit application fee is $50. These applications require Board approval. Be sure to also complete a Well Registration form along with your permit application. 


Operating Class C Permit Application

Class C wells are capable of pumping more than 600 gpm. The application fee is $75. These applications are subject to a public hearing to be considered for approval. You are not required to attend the hearing. Be sure to include a completed Well Registration form along with your permit application.
